David Little provides multi-faceted leadership for Western Veterinary Conference and the Oquendo Center through collaborative management of staffing, events, activities, and services of the organization. David has primary responsibility to ensure the Center’s adherence to animal health and welfare compliance regulations and policy.
Prior to joining WVC in 2009, and relocating from Chicago to Las Vegas, David was Director of the American Veterinary Medical Association’s (AVMA) Convention and Meeting Planning Division. David is actively involved in the meeting and event planning industry through his work with the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) and was recently elected to their Board of Directors.
David earned his bachelor’s degree in sports marketing and management from Indiana University. His family holds a long history in the veterinary profession, father Bruce was a private practitioner for more than 20 years and most recently retired as AVMA Executive Vice President, and brother Tom is a thoroughbred horse practitioner in the Chicago-area.
